Quality Assurance and Integrated Safety Management Systems are indispensable parts of Pajarito Scientific Corporation’s (PSC) operations.  Quality and Safety is integrated into all operations of PSC and employees have taken ownership and understand their responsibilities.

PSC Quality Management System is applicable to the following disciplines:

• Design
• Development
• Procurement
• Manufacturing
• Management
• Commissioning
• Provision of consultancy, and
• Post installation technical support

These disciplines are applicable to the following fields:

• Radiological measuring devices
• Radioactive waste
• Material assay equipment
• Derivation of nuclear fuel characteristics, and
• Nuclear plant process monitoring

The Quality Management System is also applicable to the development of software in accordance with TickIT Scheme and NQA-1 part 2.7.

In October 2003, the Company received its ISO 9001-2000 Certificate of Approval for Quality Management Systems from Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance under Approval Certificate No: LRQA 0113094.  Prior to this certification PSC was certified to ISO 9001-1994.  The original third party certification to ISO 9001-1994 was received October 17, 1996.

Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance, Ltd. (LRQA) performed their last certification audit October 11, 2006.  The following is an excerpt from their audit report:

“Based on the activities examined during this three assessor day certificate renewal assessment the Quality Management System (QMS) was found to be compliant to the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 and the TickIT Scheme (Issue 5).  The recommendation is that <PSC> be approved for continued Certification.  There were no Major Nonconformities raised.”

In January 2006, PSC received a SATISFACTORY rating (the highest possible) from an intense NQA-1 audit and continues to maintain a Quality Management System that is second to none.  PSC has successfully passed NQA-1 external audits by Fluor Hanford, Washington, Acquisition Verification Services (AVS), LVI Services ( Oak Ridge, Tennessee), BNG America (INEL, Idaho), Duke, Cogema Stone and Webster (Aiken, South Carolina) and Bechtel Jacobs (Oak Ridge, Tennessee). 

It is through the efforts of PSC's professional staff of engineers, physicists, managers, and technical and administrative support personnel that PSC has earned a reputation for customer satisfaction and timely delivery of services.

PSC maintains a full Radiation Protection Program and Radioactive Materials License for procurement, storage and handling of radioactive sources.  Additionally, PSC maintains a State of New Mexico Radiation Machine Operators License.  In August 2006, PSC achieved over eleven years without a lost time accident.  All employees were recognized for their commitment and contributions to the safety and health program.
